Engrossing four-part collection in two volumes of Jewish tales by Mordecaai ben Yehezkiel ha-Levi. The title-pages of Sefer ha-Ma’asiyot are preceded by a half title-page entitled Ozar Sippurim. The full title-page, informs that Sefer ha-Ma’asiyot is compiled and corrected for press by Mordecaai ben Yehezkiel ha-Levi. The first volume has a table of contents followed by an introduction by the compiler, and then the text. Examples of the sixteen narratives in the first volume are midah ceneged midah; hayyat (tailor) ba’al teshuvah; the flowering stick; and R. Moses Stashogul. Examples from the thirty-three tales in the third part are Ha-ben Yakir li Ephraim; Zaddik Tammim; Under the tree; R. Naphtali Katz (story not reliable); and the Sotah. A captivating and pleasing collection of Jewish tales.
