Detailed Description:   

Letter of apology addressed to R. Schneer Zalman Schneerson by R. Samuel Jacob b. Jeremiah Menahem Rubinstein (1888-1964) was rabbi of Paris. He wrote She'erit Menahem four parts in three volumes (Paris 1954) novellae, homiletics, and commentary to the Pentateuch.

A detailed biography of the rabbi and his work in rebuilding Jewry after the Holocaust was published by R. Samuel Albert  (haRav miPariz, Ashdod 1970-80).
