The title page describes it as being intended to crown the holy Torah with “great ornaments” (Ezekiel 16:7) that preceded the world by thousands of years, better than gold and the fine “gold of Parvaim” (II Chronicles 2:6), and lengthens days and adds to years and through its merit may we merit to quickly see the glory of Zion and Jerusalem. There are approbations from R. Zalman Ze’ev ben Ezekiel Feival, R. Abraham Zevi Hirsch Eisenstein, R. Benjamin ben Joseph Hayyim, and R. Bezalel ben Isaac Moses ha-Kohen. There is an introduction from R. Isaac Aaron, a listing of the fifteen sha’arim that comprise Keter Torah, that is, Torah Emet, Hukat ha-Torah, Torat ha-Adam, Ma’aseh Torah, Torat Hokham, Mattan Torah, Torah HaShem, Torat Moses, Torat Hesed, Torah Temimah, Torah Or, Ahavat Torah, Ma’a lot ha-torah, Torat ha-Olah, and Torat ha-Shalamim.

R. Isaac Aaron ben Judah Leib Rapoport of Vilkomer, a descendant of the Tosafot Yom, was also the author of Einei Aaron (Vilna, 1878), a commentary on the Ein Ya’akov) and of Bet Aaron.
