Part I only, 344 ff., 205:168 mm., wide margins, usual age and damp staining. A good copy bound in contemporary wood boards, rubbed and split.
  

Detail Description

Mahzor according to the rite and customs of Bohemia, Poland, and Moravia with Judeo-German running translation. This volume, part one of two, has a sumptuous title page comprised of detailed depictions of Moses on the left with the tablets of the law and Aaron on the right with his priestly garments and the ketoret. At the top is a vignette of King David playing the harp with winged cherubim at the side; at the bottom is a vignette Jacob asleep, with angels ascending and descending the ladder to heaven. The verso of the title page has approbation of R. Ezekiel Landau of Prague. This volume includes services for the festive holidays.

סדר המחזור, למעשה, הוא: סוכות, פסח, שבועות.... כמנהג פיהם פולין ומעהררין... (וסביב יחנו שני פירושים... האחד בלשון הקודש ...והשני לשון לע"ז)... חלק א-ב.
 א: (ראש השנה ויום כפור עם כל הסליחות). בשנת ביום ההו’א ית’ק’ע בשופר גד’ול’ [תק"ם]. שטז, שיח-שמד דף.
ב: (פסח שבועות וסוכות). בשנת ש’ל’ש פ’עמ’ים’ בשנ’ה [תק"ם]. רעח [צ"ל: רעו] דף.
