Only edition of this detailed, descriptive, and illustrated work describing the outstanding personalities and pioneers in Eretz Israel over a period of a hundred years by Yitsḥaḳ Triṿaḳs, Eliʻezer Shṭainman editors. Three is a half title-page followed by two photographs, one of a landscape of Jerusalem c. 1920 and of Emek Yisrael, c. 1880. Next is the title-page describing the volume as me3n of wonder, the first pioneers I the land of Israel for a hundred and twenty years and more. There is a letter of approbation from the noted author H. M. Bialik. There is a table of contents that divides the text into subjects and within each subject lists the individuals described. For example, the first section is entitled “A threefold cord” (Ecclesiastes 4:12) and its subject is Moses Montefiore with eight subheadings. Another subject is Three Generations with three subheadings for Zalman Zoref, Mordecai ben R. Zalman, and Joel Moses Shalaman, each with several subheadings for each of these. Apart from the nume3orosu entries the book is rich with illustrations, that is photographs. A book rich with information about the early history of Jewish settlement in Eretz Israel accompanied by numerous attractive photographs.
