Only edition of these novellae on Talmud Yerushalmi, Tractate Bava Kammah. The Talmud Yerushalmi, also known as the Palestinian Talmud, Yerushalmi, Talmud of the Land of Israel, Talmud of the West, Talmud of the Western Lands, and in modern times as the Jerusalem Talmud has not been preserved in its entirety. Large portions of it were entirely lost at an early date,while other parts exist only in fragments. The editio princeps (ed. Bomberg, Venice, 1523 et seq.), on which all later editions are based, terminates with the following remark: "Thus far we have found what is contained in this Talmud; and we have endeavored in vain to obtain the missing portions." Of the six orders of the Mishnah, the fifth, Kodashim, is missing entirely from the Talmud Yerushalmi, while of the sixth, Tohorot, it contains only the first three chapters of the treatise Niddah.

R. Israel Hayyim ben Aryeh Zevi Hirsch Daiches (Deykhes, 1850-1937) (1850–1937), born in Darshunishek, Lithuania, studied at Lithuanian yeshivot and, after a short time as rabbi in a Lithuanian community, became rabbi in Leeds, England. Daiches founded the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of England. Often lenient in his opinions, Daiches tried to adapt to modern technological advances, and occasionally was subjected to strong criticism (see his Mikveh Yisrael , 1912). His published work mainly concerned the Jerusalem Talmud, on which he wrote annotations; the responsa of Isaac b. Sheshet (Ribash; 1879); Ma'arḥot Yisrael, on Orah le-Hayyim by R. Hayyim Segal of Ratzki (1879); and notes added to Last's edition of Magen Avot by R. Menahem ha-Meiri (1909, 1958). R. Daiches also published responsa (1870) and sermons (Imrei Yosher, 1887), and Derashot Maharyaḥ (with autobiography, 1930). He edited a rabbinic journal, Beit Va'ad la-Hakhamim, during 1902–04.

התיבות "בבא קמא" ו"נתיבות ירושלים" שבשער נדפסו בדיו זהובה. ראינו גם טופס שנדפס על ניר עבה וכל השער בדיו זהובה.
