Detail Description
Only edition of this clever work on the taryag mitzvot according to the Rambam, and an accounting of the letters of Tehillot le-David by R. Abner Nathan ben Joshua Elishovski. The title-page states after the title Keter Torah le-David that sung this song be-mizmor Tehillah le-David stating call the mitzvot. It adds that every letter represents one mitzvah of the mitzvot in the Torah and they are enumerated according to the Rambam. The title page is dated with the chronogram “he wise in heart will heed commandments חֲכַם-לֵב יִקַּח מִצְוֹוֹת (600 = 1900).” (Proverbs 10:8). Keter Torah le-David has approbations from R. Elijah ha-Levi Feinstein, R. Naftali Hertz ha-Levi, R. Solomon Zalman Sender, and R. Menaham [Rosh av bet din Cherncovitz. Next is R. Elishovski’s introduction, prefatory material including tephila, and then the text. Keter Torah le-David is an interesting and astute work on the principles of Judaism.
