Detail Description

Attractive comprehensive halakhic work in a small format on festivals and fast days by R. Samuel Judah ben Simon Ashkenazi. The title-page states that in it are the laws of the Shulhan Arukh Orah Hayyim pertaining to times “word spoken in due season” (cf. Proverbs 15:23) which had previously been printed but was no longer available. It is now being reprinted for the public benefit and for the young. Added to this edition is Beer ha-Golah. The title-page is dated with the verse “who shall abide in your tent?” (Psalms 15:1). Next is a statement to the reader informing that those halakhot and practices necessary for all, which are and which are also the beginning of instruction for the young. The text begins with hilkhot Pesah. It is set in clear square unvocalized letters with the Rema’s annotations following in rabbinic letters. Below is Beer ha-Golah, which appears to primarily be a source commentary. The text concludes with hilkhot megillah and errata.
